The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Individual Giving Specialist to join our Fundraising and Philanthropy team based in Kew. This is a hybrid role, working in a full time capacity.
Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, you will assist with the development, execution, and optimisation of large scale omni-channel fundraising campaigns and the development of strong and lasting relationships with supporters for Guide Dogs Victoria.
Role Responsibilities
Individual Giving
- Produce three annual fundraising appeals
- Manage the editorial content and production of the donor newsletter
- Support the Fundraising Manager in developing the individual giving acquisition strategy – online and offline
- Support the development and management of campaigns to acquire new donors through a variety of acquisition channels including direct mail, telemarketing, SMS, email and digital
- Manage fundraising campaigns.
Regular Giving
- Support the development and management of regular giving acquisition campaigns including telemarketing, digital lead acquisition and reactivation, direct mail and SMS.
- Manage the regular giving donor journeys
- Manage the regular giving declines process
- Liaise with agencies who support regular giving activity
CRM and eMail
- Knowledge of Salesforce including managing and building reports, creating, and using dashboards, and processing purchase orders
Strategy
- Actively participate in developing, implementing and contributing to department objectives and Guide Dogs Victoria’s strategic plan.
Budget Management and reporting
- Contribute to the development and track performance of the department’s annual budget.
Team Interaction
- Promote organisational values.
Administration and other
- Provide accurate written information inc. clear and informative reports and communications.
Compliance
- Follow all Guide Dogs Victoria policies, procedures and systems.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or communications
- And/or 5+ years’ experience in direct marketing
- 3-5 years managing agencies and suppliers
- Knowledge of fundraising – Individual Giving and Regular Giving – especially acquisition
- Proven experience in large scale fundraising campaigns – acquisition and retention
- Increased retention and levels of engagement in an existing donor base
- Achieved/exceeded annual income targets
- Managing and tracking financial targets
- Pipeline and budget management with proven results in meeting/exceeding revenue targets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and compelling manner
- Attention to detail
- Experience and demonstrated passion for, and involvement with the not-for-profit sector.
